So it's finally here! I'm going to Toronto today for the North America Debating Championships. Do not expect to do very well, because...well...it's all of North America. Do however expect to have a fucking great time with some of my favorite people here at Brown, so here's to being epic :) Will be back on campus on Sunday, and will blog about classes & etceteras then.

As my parting words (Conan-style, except not as funny or touching, and I'm not leaving NBC), here's some extremely random advice for all of you:

• Never be ashamed of being smart. Consider being ashamed of being a cocky fuckwit. And don't be a douche about it. But don't be afraid of your own intellect.
• Never listen to sad songs when you are sad. If they can make you blue when you're in an average mood, they can really dunk you underwater when you're depressed.
• If you feel hungry, drink two glasses of water. Your body often mistakes thirst for hunger, leading to overeating. If you're still hungry after the water, then go fill your stomach, ph00l.
• People who are comfortable being naked are usually the most fun. And I'm not just talking about people who are comfortable being naked around other people (though that's a different kind of fun ;) ;)). I mean people who are comfortable being naked around themselves. And this is not supposed to be a dirty joke, although if you interpret it as such I won't mind either :)
• Blow-dry your hair with the barrel facing down (hold on directly to the barrel). It'll make your hair nice and straight and shiny and shit.
• Don't use salad dressing. It tastes gross and it's full of enough calories and crap to negate all the leafy goodness. Use olive oil & balsamic instead. So tasty :)
• Don't worry about being a bimbo. If you want chio Asian nails and Japanese style bling-up-to-your-cuticles, you should damn well go ahead and do it. Just because you post photos of your outfits instead of waxing poetic about international issues 24/7 doesn't make you an idiot. 
• (Yes, I am fully aware that the above point was a see-through attempt to make me feel better about how much I want a manicure right now. And to justify me writing about my desire for said manicure.)
• Go to a good university. And by 'good university' I don't just mean 'high-profile Ivy League', I mean 'a university that you actually research beforehand which fits your needs and wants well.'
• Go outside. See shit. Do it now. Don't stop.
